We would like to thank everyone for another fantastic year of events, weddings and parties where we played, from North to South, East to West, and all the beautiful locations and people we met.
We said goodbye to our bassist Lydian after 10 years playing together, who has left the UK to go back to Greece and start a new life – you will be missed.
2019 will also see changes in the UK, with Brexit kicking in, and myself gravitating towards another project, my personal music. Meanwhile we will be still taking bookings and playing at any event where you need us.
You can now also review us in Google as well as the website Lastminutemusicians
Our recent wedding at Leeds castle in Kent was fit for a King! There was a String quartet, a Mariachi band, a pop band, fireworks, and of course the great music of Los Amigos Band! The castle and surroundings are stunning, it’s worth a visit with family and friends.
We have also recently visited lovely venues as far as Lancashire, where we played at the lovely wedding of Sarah & Stuart, who received us with the famous warmth and hospitality of the north, and the super friendly and attentive staff of Clifton Arms Hotel.
September is still a great month to get married, and this summer the good weather is still holding up!
This is a new video & song composed by Javier Moreno after his experience living in the city for the last 7 years. The song describes the love/hate relationship that the city has inspired to Javier. A place full of possibilities, dynamic and multicultural, which can also be hostile, hard and lonely.
The song has been produced by Javier, with a reggaeton rhythm, very popular in Spain & Latin American countries in recent years, still growing i popularity after the world phenomenon of “Despacito”.
We played at the wonderful wedding of Claire & Russ, during the reception drinks in this lovely pub in Lordship Lane, London
We definitely got the party started and got everyone dancing before even sitting down for dinner!
Thank you guys and all the best.
Yesterday we performed at an EBAY conference for business partners at their offices in Richmond. The duo entertained the guests while they did some networking.
Thank you for having us!
A cold November Sunday, but sunny, took us to the beautiful area of Farncombe and Godalming, in Surrey, where Frances & Stephen booked us to celebrate their 30th Wedding Anniversary.
We immediately felt the warmest welcome by all the family, who live in a beautiful Old Farmhouse full of character, and a long table was delightfully prepared for lunch in the barn.
We performed our classic Spanish and Cuban sounds, to the pleasure of the guests, who enjoyed homemade chicken pie and dessert, to the sounds of Chan chan, and other Buenavista Classics.
Thank you for having us!
This month we continue with lots of lovely events, we want to say thank you all for having us, it has been wonderful to be part of your special days and celebrations, Vince & Cecilia at Tom’s Kitchen in Chelsea, Alessandra at Paradise by way of Kensal Green, Sam & Tom Wedding in a family Barn in Essex, and Jess & Camilo’s Wedding at Easton Grange Wedding Venue.
We leave you the lovely feedback from Vince:
Just wanted to say another huge thank you for helping to make our wedding such a huge success on Sunday. I have had so many comments about how amazing you guys were. Cecilia and I absolutely loved your music and thank you so much for learning both songs that I requested. They are special songs to us and it meant so much to hear them.
We are so pleased you guys were able to perform at our wedding – you were absolutely fantastic. Hopefully we may find our way down to Streatham some time when you guys play one of your evening sessions.
Thanks so much once again
A magical evening of fairies, mages and other creatures, we arrived to the magic forest in Pylewell crossing the beautiful New Forest National Park on a sunny summer evening, past Southampton. Native ponies and free roaming cows, beautiful vegetation, and water ponds and canals welcomed us.
Los Amigos band were attending a joint Birthday Party (50th, 21st and 18th) so the guests were of all ages and they all enjoyed a big paella and local ale.
We worked our own magic in our instruments, and we didn’t disappoint, even Harry Potter would marvel at our skills, and we had a lovely evening of magical music and dancing. Thank you for having us.
The past weeks we have performed at a few lovely weddings, including Sarah & Adam at the beautiful Mitton Hall, Luke & Laura in a tent in the countryside in Norfolk, the birthday of Sarah Holtby, also the wedding of Jessica de Sousa at the spectacular Rowton Castle in Shrewsbury, and Natasja Milton at Hampton Court House, another beautiful location.
We also took part at Harry & Tara’s beautiful wedding in Cheshire, and Claudia & Sam’s at Woldingham school in Surrey.
The weather has been very good in July, lots of sun, and our music is perfect for the many events we have also been part of, such as a Galapagos Conservation Trust Charity Event held at Bridgewater House in central London, TPG Capital Summer Party at the roof of the Ham Yard Hotel, the Regent Street Summer Festival, and the Color Zoom UK party, where we played as a 6 piece band for about 500 women! I felt like Justin Bieber 😀
As the song “Despacito” by Luis Fons and ft. Daddy Yankee is being requested more and more in our gigs, specially after the new version with Justin Bieber, we have done an impromptu unplugged version of it waiting between sets in a wedding at the beautiful gardens of Hampton Court House. Enjoy!
