The last weeks the weather in the UK has been fantastic, warm and sunny, perfect for a garden party and a good celebration, and me and the guys have been busy playing our great music to make this moments unforgettable.
In Esher a 20 ladies garden party became a dancing-on-the-table affair. Yep, such is the effect of our energy and music.
Also a very warm thank you to Natalie Tabares for inviting us to play at your son’s birthday with your wonderful family. We felt very welcome and very well looked after, no doubt a great way to inspire any musicians performance. We had great feedback from Natalie who kindly left us a review in google:

This month we continue with lots of lovely events, we want to say thank you all for having us, it has been wonderful to be part of your special days and celebrations, Vince & Cecilia at Tom’s Kitchen in Chelsea, Alessandra at Paradise by way of Kensal Green, Sam & Tom Wedding in a family Barn in Essex, and Jess & Camilo’s Wedding at Easton Grange Wedding Venue.
We leave you the lovely feedback from Vince:
Just wanted to say another huge thank you for helping to make our wedding such a huge success on Sunday. I have had so many comments about how amazing you guys were. Cecilia and I absolutely loved your music and thank you so much for learning both songs that I requested. They are special songs to us and it meant so much to hear them.
We are so pleased you guys were able to perform at our wedding – you were absolutely fantastic. Hopefully we may find our way down to Streatham some time when you guys play one of your evening sessions.
With the lovely weather we are having in June, we have been very busy performing at different events. Los Amigos music is the perfect sound for the summer and sunshine, for celebration and good times! We have been in Richmond for the wedding of Nico & Lisa, where we performed the very requested hit of “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi.
The wedding of Yitzhak & Sofia took us to the lovely Tanner Warehouse in Bermondsey, where we had a great time playing during the dinner and then for the party dancing afterwards.
Another lovely wedding in Richmond, by the Thames happened at the Bingham restaurant and hotel, with Phil and Elba tying the knot, where we played and afternoon set in the garden, and another for the party in the evening.
And three more events took us to the Babylon Restaurant in Kensington, for the America’s summer party, and then to Milton Park in Oxfordshire (thanks to lovely Hannah from Miramar) and to a Charity fundraising at High Wycombe, organised by the super friendly Charlotte.
And to finish the week we went to Barnet to the Engagement party of Sophie and George, congratulations!
This weekend we performed at the lovely wedding of Chris & Amanda at Mythe Barn in Leicestershire. The wedding had a Spanish / Mexican theme, colourful “sombreros” and games for the guests, a vintage popcorn cart, and delicious chicken burritos served by the venue’s catering in the evening. We had lots of fun and the bride’s mum Glynis sent us this lovely message:
“I would like to say a big thank you for performing at our daughters wedding at Mythe Barn on Friday 19/5/17. You were amazing. Everyone had a wonderful time and absolutely loved you guys. The staff at the barn said it was one of the best wedding’s to be held there. I will recommend you to anyone looking for a great band that can get a party started and continue to keep them on the dance floor all night. Thank you once again. xx ”
On Saturday we headed south, and after a brief stop at Warwick for lunch, we continued our travel to Chippenham to perform at Gerry’s 50th. She prepared a big marquee and catering in the garden, and although the day started wet with pouring rain, it didn’t dampen our spirits, and together with the 100 assisting guests we had an unforgettable evening of music and dancing!
This is the lovely feedback from Gerry:
“Dear Javier and the rest of the band,
Wow, wow, wow! I had such a brilliant 50th party on Saturday … I couldn’t have wished for anything better. Thank you all so much for making it such a fantastic evening, you really got the party atmosphere going, and kept everyone up and dancing all night. It was such an easy process dealing with you guys, from the first time I contacted Mark at Stormont, I will definitely recommend you to any and everyone! I’ve had so many people commenting on how great the music was and what a great party is was, so I have passed your cards on to them as well as the caterers and tent people too. Thanks again guys – you were top notch!
It was Alexa’s 60th birthday, and her husband Brendan decided to giver her a surprise, with most of her closer friends and family at the secret bar in St Martins Lane Hotel, in the centre of London. Lovely cocktails and drinks awaited the party, and Brendan chose Los Amigos band to entertain the guests, as Alexa loves Spanish, Latin and Brazilian music. As the couple have a house in Marbella, Los Amigos quartet was the perfect choice to celebrate, and we didn’t disappoint.
Lots of dancing and laughter as the evening advanced, we created an electrifying atmosphere and made everyone dance. After our set, the DJ continued the party.
Los Amigos 5 piece band performed for His Excellency Ghassan I. Shaker and the Knightsbridge Circle on board the beautiful Dixie Queen Boat in the Tower Pier at the Thames, London.
It was a lovely evening with distinguished guests, canapés, champagne and the Spanish and Latin music of the band helped to create a festive mood throughout the evening.
Businessman, banker, industrialist and diplomat, His Excellency Ghassan Ibrahim Shaker figures among the most highly decorated personalities from the Arab world, and he is a lover of Spanish and Latin music, so he greatly enjoyed the boleros and romantic numbers of the band, as well as the Gipsy Kings danceable songs.
Lucy’s 50th was a great celebration at the wonderful and classy Ham Yard Hotel, in Soho, London. The bowling Alley was used for a great evening of entertainment, and Los Amigos 5 piece band was the choice for the dancing time. A guitar duo performed while the guests arrived, and the full and played a 1 hour set that got everyone dancing and enjoying the wonderful sound and lighting of the evening organised by the production team.
We performed a mix of Spanish and Latin hits, and some English music too, such All night Long, Get lucky, Can’t take my eyes out of you, and many more. The Dj kept the party going until late.
We leave you with some photos and a short clip of the evening.
This weekend we did 1000 miles travelling to perform at different events.
First our visit to Penarth near Cardiff, Wales were we played for the Manchester City football players of the Premier League, while they were having a private dinner at the exclusive restaurant in the Marina.
On Saturday we travelled to Liverpool to play at Anna & Paul’s wedding at a Hallmark Hotel. Finally on Sunday we drove south to the beautiful Dorset, to play at Gabriela & Adam’s wedding in a beautiful countryside setting with a nice Tipi.
Now I need a relaxed Monday to recover from all the driving!
