Hello there, with all our live work completed frozen, I am taking this time to compose and record new songs at my home studio. Some of them mine and I still enjoy performing covers too.
I wanted to share with you some of the videos I have been doing.
The first one is a cover of a famous song by Mexican group Los Lobos, called El Mariachi. This song became quite popular after featuring Spanish actor Antonio Banderas in the film “Desperado”.
Another song I really like is by American band The Doobie Brothers, called “Listen to the music“. Considering how times are at the moment, I think is more important than ever for art to survive and thrive again in this difficult times.
And finally I share one of my most popular videos in my channel, where I play with the guys as a trio, recorded a few years back. In this case it’s swing version of the Gipsy Kings‘s song Volare. We don’t usually play this version live, however on this occasion we wanted to try something different.
I take the opportunity to invite you to follow me at Spotify :
We have done a swing version of this lovely song, performing as a trio with a laid back vibe.
Recorded by Italian singer-songwriter Domenico Modugno, and Written by Franco Migliacci and Domenico Modugno, it was released as a single on 1 February 1958.
The song is a ballad in a dramatic chanson style, in which Modugno describes the feeling he has, which resembles flying when with his lover.
It has been recorded by many artists, such Dean Martin, David Bowie, and the Gipsy Kings (a version we also play in our live performances)
We hope you enjoy it!
Los Amigos trio rocked the party at the newly opened Hussar in Hounslow, a new Indian restaurant and bar:
“I didn’t know what to expect, if the people were going to like this kind of music, but I they loved it, and you are really, really good, thank you so much” Anil
The band attended the many requests of the costumers, from Maria Maria by Santana, La Bamba, Bailamos by Enrique Iglesias, even the theme song of the South Africa 2010 World cup Waka Waka by Shakira, which the band had never played before but managed to improvise. You can see the bands repertoire here.
You can book this band here or through the Wedding Guitar Agency which is managed by the band’s leader and guitarist, Javier.
